Red and near-infrared dual-window filter (MBP-A60)
MBP-A60 is a multi-region spectral filter. The reference spectrum shows multiple high-transmission regions at approximately 610-701 nm; 829-914 nm. Light from these bands passes through the same optic. Check every band against your light source and detector. To measure the bands separately, use alternating light sources or separate detection paths.
Optical performance
- Measured wavelength range: 300-1200 nm. Performance outside this measured interval is not established by this curve.
- Main band at half-peak transmission: Approximately 605.1-706.6 nm, giving a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of approximately 101.5 nm. This describes the main band only; other transmitted regions may remain.
- Selected regions at or above 80% transmission: 610-701 nm; 829-914 nm. Approximate measured intervals.
- Selected regions at or below 5% transmission: 300-371 nm; 375-596 nm; 720-809 nm; 947-1200 nm. Measured sample intervals; confirm the required blocking for your order.

Applications to consider
- Red and near-infrared illuminated inspection: Consider a common optical path for red and near-infrared illumination. Match each source band to the confirmed spectrum.
- Vegetation-reflectance experiments: Evaluate red and near-infrared reflectance measurements with independently distinguishable channels. The filter alone does not separate simultaneous signals for an index calculation.
- Dual-source optical sensing: Consider alternating red and near-infrared sources through one transmission optic. Confirm source bandwidth, detector response and channel separation for your measurement.
Choosing this filter
- Additional regions reach at least 50% transmission at approximately 824-923 nm. Include these in the detector and blocking assessment.
- Check the full wavelength range of your light source, the wavelengths your detector responds to, and how much unwanted light you need to block. Use the full curve when choosing a filter; the product code and peak do not tell the whole story.
- Tell us the angle at which light reaches the filter and whether the beam is parallel or converging. For demanding rejection or high-power use, confirm the required blocking and power-handling specifications.
